Experienced in the field for almost 36 years, TGS offers its services by providing multi-client seismic data like 3D, narrow azimuth, wide azimuth, OBC and long offset 2D. With a large collection of advanced marine acquisition technologies for enhanced reservoir delineation, characterization and monitoring, TGS has been delivering the most current data, acquired and imaged with the latest techniques. It also supports a diverse portfolio of onshore projects across North and Latin America, including Canada, US and Mexico. By integrating well data, high resolution seismic, basin-wide modeling, advanced processing technologies and integrated interpretation, TGS helps in better analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities. Additionally, TGS offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products and data integration solutions.
Preprocessing services offered are advanced signal (time) processing for data conditioning, interactive data analysis, time imaging, broadband processing, and integrity validation (QC). Other tools available are qualitative and quantitative gather conditioning, and AVO analysis for time and depth gathers. Well Data, with accurate geo-scientific information, is available for download. Digital well log library is supplied via one of TGS’s tools R360, to meet customer demands.
Seismic interpretation by the continuous research of geological and geophysical datasets supports the project throughout the entire exploration cycle
To provide regional subsurface knowledge, TGS’s Geoscience Interpretation group consistently delivers best-in-class multi-client, basin-wide studies to the industry to reduce the risk, time, and cost of the exploration-cycle. Seismic interpretation by the continuous research of geological and geophysical datasets supports the project throughout the entire exploration cycle. They include petrophysical and volumetric analyses. Post Well Analysis studies and suggests reasons for exploration success and failure by utilizing well and seismic data, with the help of geological, petrophysical and geophysical analysis. Fluctuating temperatures can be dangerous and a hindrance to work process. Also, temperature controls the rate of chemical reactions like kerogen transformation in source rocks. TGS’s proprietary methodology helps with this issue by generating accurate basin temperature models which help in identifying zones of anomalous fluid and heat flow.
TGS will right now be focusing on Jeanne d’Arc High-Density 3D multi-client project offshore Newfoundland, East Canada. Touted to cover almost 5000 square kilometers, Kristian Johansen, CEO, TGS commented, “This survey will provide our clients with the first comprehensive, high-resolution 3D dataset within the mature Jeanne d’Arc basin. This highly productive and prospective area has long been a priority to our customers, and we are pleased to provide better data to support future drilling and license rounds.”
